Visitation Policy
Inmates
in the Two Bridges Regional Jail are eligible for visits upon being classified
from the Orientation Unit to a permanent housing unit (within 72 hrs of
incarceration).
During Classification, the
inmate can identify up to six adults and three children that s/he would like to
have a visit with during their incarceration at Two Bridges Regional Jail. The
inmate may update this list on the fifteenth of each month.
To arrange a visit with an
inmate, contact the receptionist by telephone, (207) 882-4268, the business day
before the scheduled visit, between the hours of 0800 and 1600. For visits
scheduled on a weekend, contact the receptionist on Friday.
Visitation schedules are posted in each
housing unit.
Please provide the inmate’s
name and the full name and date of birth for up to three (3) visitors requesting
to attend.
If any of the names provided
by the caller are not listed in the jail information system, the
receptionist will inform the caller the inmate has NOT identified them as a
requested visitor and, therefore, they are prohibited from signing up for a
visit until such time the inmate changes his/her visitor list.
The receptionist will accept
only one (1) call for each visit time from a potential visitor to schedule a
visit. Additional calls to add or change visitors will not be accepted.
All adults arriving for a
visit must present a government issued photo I.D. or entry to the facility will
be denied.
All visitors will be provided
equal access to visitation sign up. Once the maximum number of inmates has been
reached for a given time, no additional inmates will be added for that time.
Sufficient time and space is provided for inmates to receive all visits
appropriate for their classification.
